Display Calibration
Industry-standard calibration for monitors, projectors, and televisions.
Precision Calibration
To ensure the accuracy of the images you're working with, we offer rigorous calibration services. For on-set or post-production facilities, we adjust reference monitors, client approval displays, and working screens so your images remain perfect no matter where they're viewed.
We use precision tools from Colorimetry Research, including the CR100 colorimeter and CR250 spectroradiometer, to deliver accurate and consistent results.
Our Calibration Process
Here are the steps we follow to guarantee the accuracy of our work:
- Display Warm-Up Displays and their colors typically stabilize after 30 to 60 minutes of use. We ensure displays are powered on for at least 60 minutes before beginning calibration.
- Connection Verification We verify that the connections being used will deliver the best results.
- Software Verification and Updates Sometimes updates are necessary to optimize display performance or ensure compatibility with our calibration system. Any changes will be submitted for approval to your technical manager beforehand.
- Calibration Equipment Installation Our equipment typically includes a spectrometer/colorimeter pair, a pattern generator, and a laptop. We may need internet access to enable communication between these devices and your monitors.
- Display Condition Assessment We first perform a visual inspection to check display uniformity and detect any imperfections or scratches. We then create a pre-calibration profile to understand your display's colorimetric state before calibration.
- Standards-Based Calibration We calibrate the requested profiles according to the standards required for viewing on the device.
- Verification We validate that the calibration meets standards and acceptable tolerances.
- Demonstration The calibration specialist demonstrates the results to a technical representative from your company and adjusts perceptual matching parameters to harmonize calibration across multiple displays if necessary.
- Report A detailed report on the condition of all displays is produced after each visit from our team.
- Follow-Up The specialist can follow up and schedule appointments for calibration maintenance. We recommend maintenance every 6 months or before any major new project.
